It is 3:40 and I am posting my first blog. I can't spend too much time because you see.....I have to have Dinner on the Table by 6!
My daughter chose this blog name for me because I am so predictable. Predictable, old school, constant, living in the 50's..... probably very boring to most people!
Yes I am one of those oldfashioned "June Cleaver" type housewives. That was my nickname my girls and some of their friends call me. My husband works all day and when he gets home at 6 I like to have a nice dinner on the table for him. Have always done that and probably always will. No boxed or prepared fozen stuff....just made from scratch home cooking.
Mondays are predictable too.......cleaning day. I love it when Dave comes home and comments on the "pine-sol" smell. I am a basics girl....simple pine-sol, Murphy's wood oil soap, a rag mop, dust cloth and vaccuum and Monday's are a lot of fun. I've tried the swiffer mops, expensive cleaning wipes and cleansers but I go back to the cheaper and better basics.
I am one of those who has a morning routine....get up, wash my hair, put on makeup and get dressed. Never never go out of the house without a coiffed hairdo and makeup....not even just to run to the corner store. One of these days maybe I will just get up...throw my hair in a clip, wash my face, throw on some sweats and relax. Well maybe....but I really doubt it.
Well.... June is not just a cooking and cleaning frumpy ol' housewife. I enjoy more exciting things too. I love to travel, love the beach, love to read, being with my girls and grandkids, working in the yard with flowers, entertaining friends at my house. I'm trying to break the predictable, set in my way mold. Just Saturday I bought myself a boxing bag and gloves and have been working out...heard it was real good exercise. Now I'd like to see June Cleaver punch a bag in her high heels, petticoat and pearls!!!!

I would love to see a pic of June and her boxing bag.

Glad you finally posted. Now you need to do it on a regular basis. :)
